Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Ask Gigi (“Ask Gigi,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through askgigico.com (the “website”), including the Tell Gigi request form. Ask Gigi is operated by KL Solutions LLC.
This policy covers the website only. If you become a client, we may give you additional information about how we handle information as part of that work.
Information you give us
When you send a Tell Gigi request, we collect what you enter:
- your name
- your mobile number
- your email address
- where you are (Delray Beach, Boca Raton or other)
- when you need help, including a specific date if you choose one
- your description of what you’d like Gigi to handle
The description box is open-ended, so it may include whatever details you choose to share, such as travel plans, event details or information about other people involved. Please share only what we need to understand your request, and only share details about other people if you’re comfortable doing so. Don’t include sensitive information such as passwords, payment card or bank account numbers, Social Security or other government ID numbers, or medical information.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one is delivered by service providers that receive standard technical information your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This includes our website host, Netlify, and Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces used on the site. These providers may record this information in their own logs under their own policies.
When you submit the Tell Gigi form, Netlify may also store technical details with your submission, such as your IP address, browser information and the page you submitted from.
We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tools on this website, and the website does not set its own cookies.
How the Tell Gigi form is processed
Tell Gigi requests are received and stored by Netlify, which hosts this website and provides its form service. Netlify may use its own service providers, such as spam-filtering services, to process submissions. We may also receive copies of submissions by email. You can read how Netlify handles information in the Netlify Privacy Policy.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- read and respond to your request, including by phone, text message or email
- understand what you need, ask follow-up questions and suggest next steps
- provide services you ask for, once we’ve agreed on them with you
- keep records of requests and our communications with you
- operate and maintain the website, and protect it from spam and misuse
- comply with legal obligations and protect our rights
We do not sell personal information.
Who we share information with
We share information only as needed for the purposes above:
- Service providers that help us run the website and the business, such as website hosting and form processing (Netlify), font delivery (Google Fonts), and the email, phone and messaging services we use to communicate with you. They process information to provide their services to us.
- People and businesses involved in your request. If you ask us to handle something that involves someone else, such as a restaurant, hotel, vendor or other provider, we may share the details needed to get it done.
- When required by law. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of you, us or others.
- Business changes. If the business is reorganized, sold or transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
How long we keep information
We keep request information for as long as we reasonably need it to respond to you, provide services you ask for, keep business records, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax or accounting obligations. Copies may also remain in our service providers’ systems, including backups, for a period under their own practices. When we no longer need information, we aim to delete it or remove details that identify you.
Security
We take reasonable steps, appropriate for a small business, to protect the information we receive, and we use established service providers to run the website and form. No website, email or online service is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of information sent to us. That’s one more reason not to include sensitive information in the form.
Links to other websites and services
The website links to, and loads content from, third-party services, and we may send you links to other websites while working on a request. Those websites and services have their own privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for how they handle information. For Google Fonts, see the Google Privacy Policy.
Children’s privacy
The website and our services are intended for adults. The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Your choices
- You decide what to include in a Tell Gigi request. The fields on the form are required to send a request.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete information you’ve sent us. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, though we may need to keep some information to meet legal obligations or keep necessary records.
- If you’d like us to stop contacting you about a request, just tell us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law. Contact us and we’ll help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
